Daredevil Star Vincent D’Onofrio Is Doing Everything To Save The Series

There might be little hope of seeing the Daredevil series return after Netflix's cancellation spree, but it looks like series regular Vincent D'Onofrio isn't giving up.

Taking to Twitter, the actor decided to share a post written by a fan asking Marvel to save Daredevil. In his tweet, D'Onofrio said that he's doing all that he can to get the show back up. Among the series' cast, the actor's been one of the most vocal about the series' cancellation, rallying for the show's return.

Marvel fans were devastated when Netflix decided to can all of its different Marvel TV series last year. It first began with Luke Cage, and then the streaming network announced the cancellation of all the other Marvel TV series like Daredevil, Iron Fist, The Punisher, The Defenders, and Jessica Jones. Fans were bewildered by Netflix's decision to ax Daredevil. Not only was the series well-received by fans and by critics, but the show just enjoyed a pretty great fourth season before news came out that Netflix was canceling the series. In fact, series showrunner Erik Oleson was already setting up a meeting with the streaming company to pitch his idea for a fifth season right before the cancellation.

Right now fans continue to rally to #SaveDaredevil. It's a pretty sincere campaign – though it might take a while for any other network to pick up the series and bring it back from the dead. Netflix has a clause prohibiting from any of its Marvel TV characters to appear in any other series until two years after its cancellation, so fans will probably have to wait for a while.
