Could This Star Wars: The Last Jedi Toy Hint At A Black Lightsaber For Snoke?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson may have promised fans that the various toys for the upcoming sequel trilogy installment wouldn't give away any major detail aboutThe Force Awakens sequel, yet it seems like a new item offers what might be an important plot hint for the film.

Star Wars fans might have had a lot of fun during this year's Force Friday, but it seems like a lot missed on what might be a significant detail regarding The Last Jedi. While everyone was busy talking about Snoke's heights and robes after the Supreme Leader's toy made the rounds, Nerdist decided to zero in on a tiny little detail – a black jeweled ring placed on Snoke's left hand.

While it is possible that the First Order leader is using the ring as a memento of a relationship or as a simple piece of jewelry, the site speculates that the jewel on the ring could actually be a black kyber crystal. Fans have yet to see a black kyber crystal in the franchise, however there have been darksabers in the Star Wars animated series before, both in Star Wars Rebels and Star WarsClone Wars.

The Star Wars Aftermath novels also had the Acolytes of the Beyond looking for Sith artifacts, making it possible for Snoke to have received the crystal from the group of Dark Side fanatics. Could the ring really be a black kyber crystal? If so, can it be used as a weapon? Could it be a sign that Snoke has a black lightsaber with him?

Let's wait and find out.
