Supreme Leader Snoke's identity is one of the many mysteries fans hope to learn more about in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and there have been quite a number of theories trying to peel away at the enigmatic curtain surrounding the character.

Though everyone might have expected the theories to come to an end with The Force Awakens sequel so close to its release date, it seems like newly leaked images from the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi Visual Dictionary have sparked an intriguing new theory.

According to a fan on Reddit, it's possible that Snoke might actually be the first Jedi. Fans already know that Luke has been hiding on Ahch-To, the planet that holds the first Jedi Temple. Surprisingly enough, the Visual Dictionary gives fans a closer look at the floor of the temple, and on it is a mosaic featuring a figure supposed to be the Prime Jedi, the very first of the Order.

Oddly enough, its bulbous head looks kind of like Snoke – a theory that would make sense, considering that the Supreme Leader wants Luke (Mark Hamill), the last Jedi, dead.

Could Snoke be really the Prime Jedi? It is an interesting theory that would certainly pose as an interesting conflict for Luke. Let's wait so we get to learn the answer when Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres this Friday, December 15, 2017.
