Could Doctor Strange Appear in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2?

Marvel's first dip into the mystical arts in Doctor Strange was a massive success last year, and fans cheered when the studio confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch's sarcastic surgeon-turned-sorcerer would be making an appearance in Thor: Ragnarok. Now, new reports suggest the possibility of Stephen Strange making his way into another film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

According Ashley Mova from Collider Videos , rumors have begun to spread that Doctor Strange would get a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in the film's post-credit scene. Though the film's director, James Gunn has made it clear that none of the Avengers would be appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, Benedict's sarcastic sorcerer isn't an official member of the Avengers. The site also indicates that the Doctor has been rumored to appear in the film itself as a tie to Marvel's upcoming superhero mash-up, Avengers: Infinity War.

While a Doctor Strange cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 may be an exciting development for Marvel fans, it's more likely that Marvel's future sorcerer supreme would be featured in the film's post-credit scene to tie in Guardians with Infinity War in line with Marvel's tradition.

Guardians of the Galaxy premieres on May 5, 2017 while Avengers: Infinity War releases on May 4, 2018.
