Conservatives Bashing The Lego Batman Movie For Being ‘Too Gay’

I thought the The Lego BatmanMovie was actually a bit of fun, but some religious groups are seeing otherwise, and have bashed the movie for being "too gay."

Jon-Henry Westen from LifeSiteNews has been accusing Lego Batman for wanting to "indoctrinate the little ones" to the gay agenda. He writes:

"It was chock full of pro-gay propaganda… Think the sexual innuendo of the Flintstones minus the real humor. It seemed the creators were so anxious to subtly indoctrinate the little ones into the gender ideology that making it humorous came as a distant second thought."

The scenes in particular that he may be talking about was the one where Dick Grayson (Robin) is told that Batman and Bruce Wayne share custody of him, giving him two dads. What's more, the main conflict arises from the Joker wanting to be "Batman's number one villain," and the two have been having a sort of "lover's spat" throughout the whole film. Some kids may think it's funny, but the adults will see right through it.

I honestly think it's kind of clever how writers can add some ideologies in kids movies without being too "in your face" about them. A great example would be Disney's Zootopia last year, which tackled the issue of racism/stereotyping in an animated movie about talking animals.

I thought The Lego Batman Movie was just fine the way it was, and I didn't think for a second that it was advocating some gay propaganda. Some people are just too sensitive.
