Code Geass Game Restarts Development


After almost a long time of radio silence, we finally have some updates on the upcoming Code Geass social game. DMM Games announced recently that the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Stories social game will restart its development with f4samurai as the game’s developers.

Aside from its smartphone game releases which is scheduled to be to be released in 2022, a PC version of the game is also confirmed. A promotional video for the game was also uploaded as the game’s main visual (created by the animation directors of the Code Geass anime, Yuriko Chiba and Eiji Nakada.) The originally set to be released as a browser game in 2018, but no major updates were released since then.

The upcoming game will feature a new story with voice acting featuring the original anime cast. The segments that would have the Knightmare Frames will be animated in full 3D. In Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Stories, players can choose the gender of the main character (both the male and female designs are illustrated by Shirabi) and they will work with Lelouch and the Order of the Black Knights in the first part of the game.

The game features the Pendulum, an original Knightmare Frame designed by Astrays. You can only see this Knightmare Frame in the game. The main player pilots the Pendulum.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Stories will be available in iOS, Android, and in the DMM games player for the Windows PC. Japanese rock band FLOW will be singing the game’s official song titled “Pendulum”. According to the its website, the upcoming game will be free to play with an option of in-game purchases.

The Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion anime originally aired from October 2006 to 2007. Its sequel, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 aired from April 2008 to September 2008. The animation was done by Sunrise, with character designs done by CLAMP.
