Earlier this year, Netflix officially confirmed that Cobra Kai Season 5 is coming, and since then, fans have been highly-anticipating for the latest updates on what's next for the upcoming season of Netflix's original Karate Kid sequel series.

Over on Twitter, Cobra Kai co-creator Jon Hurwitz has shared a major filming update for Season 5. In the post, Hurwitz revealed that production for Cobra Kai Season 5 has wrapped as of December 19, 2021.

Cobra Kai Season 5 release date

Cobra Kai Season 5 production started in late summer/early fall in Atlanta, Georgia, and concluded during the final month of 2021. This is great news for fans who can't wait to watch the fifth season after they binge-watch Season 4 at the end of this month.

Season 3 premiered in January 1, 2021, and Season 4 will hit New Year's Eve, so it makes sense to expect that Season 5 will arrive at New Year's Eve 2022.

With production complete, it's likely that Cobra Kai Season 5 will arrive on Netflix by the end of 2022, but the streaming giant hasn't announced an official release date yet. It's likely that we're going to have to wait at least six months before Season 5 comes out, but it won't be surprising to see it released in a shorter time gap.
