Cloud Nabs the Spotlight in Final Fantasy VII Remake Game Awards Trailer

Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to the PS4 in a few months and we're all pretty hyped to play this reimagined classic, even if it's in multiple parts. We've pretty much gotten every big piece of information asked of Square Enix and all we can do is wait for the game to come out, though we do appreciate all of these trailers the company has been releasing.

So, when The Game Awards revealed another new Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer, we were all pretty pumped up. Admittedly, it didn't really tell us anything new but the look at lead hero Cloud Strife is nice since he's the character we'll be using the most. It's clear that he is a fairly faithful version of the original dude who grouched his way into our hearts during the original PlayStation era.

It's also really neat seeing characters like Jessie, Barrett, and waifu of the year Tifa interacting with him. Apparently, this game is going to make us care more about the unplayable supporting characters so when they die, and by they we mean Jessie, Biggs, and Wedge, then it's going to hurt a whole lot more.

Due to the game only revolving around the Midgar area, don't expect to see Yuffie, Cait Sith, or Vincent Valentine. We'd love to see these characters in the second game but nothing has been confirmed, at least not yet.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be coming to PS4 on March 3, 2020, and is a console exclusive for a whole year.
