Closer Look at New Troopers from Solo: A Star Wars Story

With every new Star Wars movie comes the introduction of a new type of stormtrooper, and Solo will introduce us to the Range Trooper and Mud Trooper. Though we don't really get a good look at them in the trailer, some better images of the new troopers have made their way on Reddit.

Both troopers look to be natives of different planets with the mud trooper coming from Mimban. The range trooper seems like it will be present during the train heist scene which will be taking place on the planet Vandor. A figure of the range trooper also shows that this type of trooper wears specialized boots; my guess is that these boots are magnetized and allow them to stay upright on the train which has a tendency to twist in all sorts of directions.

Some other figures have also given us teasers of different types of Imperials, but we'll probably have to wait a while before we get a better look at all of them. Hopefully they'll all be revealed with the visual dictionary for Solo which is set to hit shelves the day after the movie premieres.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters May 25.
