Close Enough Sneak Peek: It's Regular Show For Adults

Whine all you want about 90s cartoons being better, J.G. Quintel's Regular Show is nothing short of fantastic, and the surreal adventures of Mordecai and Rigby are something for both kids and adults to enjoy. Regular Show may have ended already, but Quintel's next series Close Enough, gives us a first sneak peek.

First off, the animation style of Regular Show is very apparent, but you'll immediately get pulled out by the fact that this show has the raunchiness cranked up by ten. Here characters have sex and do drugs, all with the same quirks that come with a show like Regular Show.

It also looks to be more realistic compared to the surreal world of RS. The only time where it looks like things are weird in Close Enough is when the characters do drugs—and you can understand when things get weird.

With Regular Show being some sort of coming-of-age series for lazy teens, Close Enough looks to be the next step in the process—what with the main characters trying to go through adulthood and raising a child.

Fans of the show will also immediately recognize J.G. Quintel's voice as the main character again. I can already imagine all the crazy fan theories about Regular Show being some weird comic or acid trip that the main character of Close Enough has.

No official release date has been announced for Close Enough, but it airs on TBS sometime soon.
