Christian Bale Admits He’s Only Seen His Superhero Films And Christopher Reeve’s Superman Movies

Though Christian Bale has starred in some of the best Warner Bros. Batman movies it looks like the English actor hasn't seen any other superhero film save his own. Though it's been five years since he's played the Caped Crusader in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, Bale still gets questions about his plans to return to the comicbook movie scene.

In an interview with Collider, Bale was asked whether he'd be interested in doing another superhero movie and this time with DC. The Hollywood actor's response?

"No, I'm not interested in doing that. I've never seen — I'm trying to think if that's correct, I think I'm actually correct, I can't remember a single superhero film that I've ever watched. Apart from the ones I made and like, the Christopher Reeve Superman films."

While Bale can no longer return and play Batman now that the cowl of the Dark Knight has been passed on to Ben Affleck, it's also pretty improbable that the renown British actor would make a leap and head towards Marvel either. Not only would it break DC fan's hearts, but Bale is an award-winning actor who tends to select more series and challenging roles.

For now, comicbook movie fans should be content with the stars they have in the Marvel and DC franchises. Affleck makes a pretty good Batman and he's headed back to the big screen in this year's Justice League which premieres on November 17.
