Chris Pratt To Receive The MTV Movie And TV Awards’ Generation Award

Marvel fans might not be too happy with Chris Pratt's Star-Lord after Avengers: Infinity War but it looks like the Guardians of the Galaxy star is going to the Generation Award at the MTV Movie and TV Awards next month.

According to Deadline, Pratt's finally going to get some of the recognition he deserves after working his way from television to cinema, becoming one of the Hollywood's most charming action star.

MTV's Generation Award recognizes actors and actresses exceptional talent as well as their contributions to television and cinema. A few actors and actress who've received the MTV Movie and TV Award's Generation Award include Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Reese Witherspoon, Sandra Bullock, Adam Sandler, Robert Downey Jr., Adam Sandler, and Mike Myers.

Pratt first broke out when he appeared in NBC's award-winning series, Parks and Recreation. In the political satire television sitcom, Pratt starred as loveable idiot Andy Dwyer. His role in Parks and Recreation led him to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and after that Universal's Jurassic Park reboot sequel, Jurassic World.

Though this won't be Pratt's First MTV Award ( the Marvel actor won the Golden Popcorn Award for Best Action Performance in Jurassic World), it will be the actor's first MTV Generation Award.

The MTV Movie and TV Awards will be hosted by Tiffany Hadish and will air on June 18 on MTV.
