Chris Pratt and Tom Holland Meet As Spider-Man: Homecoming Begins Filming

After a wave of casting announcements for Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: Homecoming, the Jon Watts-helmed film has finally started, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director/writer James Gunn shared some words of encouragement for the film, which will begin filming at Pinewood Studios Atlanta just as James Gunn's film wraps. Gunn said:

"Many blessings today to the star of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tom Holland, and the film's director Jon Watts, as they begin their shoot in Atlanta just as we are ending ours. I don't think we could pass the Marvel baton to two nicer, better guys who care more about what they're doing. Kill it!"

The director shared a photo of him, the Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland, and Guardians star Chris Pratt at Pinewood Atlanta, where they invited Holland to visit on the set while he was still rehearsing at another area of the studio. Gunn clarified that Holland or any other Avenger actor will not appear in Guadians Vol. 2.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to release in theaters on May 5, 2017, and Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017
