Chris Hemsworth Says It's ‘Illegal’ For MCU Actors To Take DC Roles

It's no mystery that Marvel and DC fans have formed this rivalry on which franchise is ultimately better, and some of the stars are very aware of it. According to Thor actor Chris Hemsworth, it is apparently ‘illegal' for Marvel actors to take DC roles.

This was apparently said by Hemsworth during a panel at Supernova Comic-Con in Australia, and we don't have a direct quote to clarify the matter other than the fact that Hemsworth used the word "illegal."

This is contradictory to the fact that Marvel head Kevin Feige has said that there are no clauses in their Marvel contracts prohibiting actors from taking on any roles, but that was said in a statement about Josh Brolin playing both Thanos for the MCU and Cable for the upcoming Deadpool 2.

It just has me thinking, if Marvel has no clauses preventing any MCU character for moving over to DC, is it possible that DC is the one that prohibits Marvel actors from crossing over to them?

So far, the only actor who has crossed over to both the modern MCU and DCEU is Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who played Killer Croc in Suicide Squad and Kurse in Thor: The Dark World. You can also say that Batman actor Ben Affleck was once Daredevil, but I think everyone (including Affleck) is keen on forgetting that.

As of now, we can just wait for Hemsworth to clarify his statement in the panel, but now I'm just thinking which actors from the MCU I would love to cross over to DC. I think Chris Pratt would be a hilarious Booster Gold.

Chris Hemsworth returns as Thor in Thor: Ragnarok set to come out Nov. 3.
