Chris Evans Wants To Cameo As Captain America in Spider-Man: Homecoming

It was previously announced that Iron Man/Tony Stark actor Robert Downey Jr. joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Stark is like a mentor to Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) so it totally makes sense why he would appear in Marvel and Sony's superhero film. Even the leaked plot details revealed how the two Marvel heroes will interact. But other characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe might also appear, and Captain America actor Chris Evans wants to be a part of it.

During an interview with MTV Intercontinental, Evans was asked what Marvel film would he like to see his character show up next, and Spider-Man: Homecoming came across his mind:

"Guardians would be fun wouldn't it? I mean, but that's very outer spacey. Cap's more of an earthbound guy. Maybe the next Spider-Man's. You know those are going to be fantastic and I think Tom's such a great actor so that might be a fun one to pop up in."

As for other cameos, it sounds like Evans is ready for whatever Marvel asks him to do:

"I've really found a level of comfort with the character over the course of, what is it, seven movies or something? I can't even keep track, but we've been doing it since 2010, and now it really does feel like home. It just feels like very comfortable to me so, any way they want to use me in any other type of cameo, its fun to be, its fun to be a part of this chapter of cinema."

Cap will probably show up in a movie before the two-part Avengers: Infinity War films hit theaters in 2018 and 2019, and that movie will probably be Black Panther.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to release in theaters on July 7, 2017.
