Chewbacca Might Eat The Porgs In Star Wars: The Last Jedi

When the Borgs were first unveiled for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, fans got worried. Adding cute mascots to the franchise hasn't always worked well, as the Ewoks from Star Wars: A New Hope have shown. It looks like these cute creatures will get their comeuppance in a hilariously dark way, with rumors saying Chewbacca is going to eat them.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Chewie will be eating one or more of these creatures, since there's a scene where the character has a feather sticking out of his mouth. The series has always had its humorous moments, so depending on how annoying the Borgs are, fans will get to see one of their favorites eat one or more of them.

Now to be fair, there's a good chance that these new creatures won't be too annoying, as the cute animated short showed. Star Wars loyalists were also worried about BB-8 being a pain in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but the droid ended up being one of the film's best characters. Here is hoping that the Borgs are more BB-8 and less Ewoks or Jar Jar Binks.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi continues the Rey's training as a Jedi with Luke Skywalker. We will also see the return of allies like Finn and Poe Dameron, along with the film's villains Kylo Ren and Snoke. This will also be the last film of Carrie Fisher, who reprises her role as General Leia Organa.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to release in thaters on December 15, 2017.
