CD Projekt Red Clarifies Statement Over Multiple Cyberpunk 2077 Games

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the biggest video games coming out next year and fans cannot wait to get their hands on it. Hype for that game is at an all-time high and fans went nuts when one statement from the developer made it seem like there are three games of the series currently being made. Well, CD Projekt Red decided to clarify their statement and it looks like we aren't getting three games yet.

Not right away at least.

When GameSpot reached out to the developers for this story, CD Projekt Red revealed that there are three studios working on Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to that, there are two other studios working on the Gwent video game and an unannounced mobile title. None of these are sequels to the upcoming RPG and it looks like we won't be getting news on them for a long while.

Here is their full statement:

"We currently have a total of five teams working on a number of projects, with three focusing on the development of Cyberpunk 2077. These include CD Projekt Red Warsaw and Kraków, who are handling the main game, as well as the Wrocław studio, where around 40 industry specialists are engaged in technology R&D. A separate, dedicated team at the Warsaw studio is handling the development of Gwent. The final team is Spokko, which is currently working on a yet unannounced mobile project."

Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16, 2020.
