A new trailer and poster have been revealed for the 2018 Pokemon movie, which has now been dubbed as Pokemon The Movie: Everyone's Story. The trailer shows new characters who will be joining Ash in this new adventure, as they try to find Lugia.
The sequel to Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You, which is a new continuity that is separate from the current anime series and the movies that came before. This is why Ash doesn't recognize Lugia even though they met in Pokemon 2000.
New characters are introduced in short little snippets. We see a woman with an Eevee, a man with a Sudowoodo, a boy with an odd eye who has a Chansey, an old lady with a Totodile, Togepi, Marill, and Smoochum. There's also a little girl with pink hair who seems to be talking with a Pokemon, which is never seen so that's intriguing.
As fans can see, the animation is completely different from the current Sun and Moon show, though both forms of media are beautiful in their own right. In fact, this might be the best looking anime movie of the entire Pokemon franchise, which should be expected from the studio that worked onAttack on Titan.
Pokemon The Movie: Everyone's Story comes out in Japan on July 13. No international release has been announced, though it is likely since I Choose You eventually made its way to the West.
