While there is a lot of anticipation for Avengers: Infinity War, fans were confused about Captain Marvel. The character's film will be coming out next year after Infinity War but fans had assumed that she would appear in the third Avengers film. It turns out that won't be the case and Carol will be debuting in her solo film but there were actually plans to include the character in Infinity War.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Joe Russo was asked who he felt had the best costume in the film. Russo revealed that it would have been Captain Marvel but her scenes have been cut. Carol's costume, which was designed by artist Jamie McKelvie and first hit comic books in 2012, is really good so Russo's answer has validity.

"Is it …? Where's [unit publicist John Pisani]? I can't remember if we – Captain Marvel on set, is that official? If it's not, it's official now. I think Captain Marvel had a great outfit."

The Russo Brothers probably had plans to add Captain Marvel to the film but her solo outing next year likely changed things. Joss Whedon actually wanted to add Captain Marvel to the series' canon earlier, claiming he wanted to introduce her and Spider-Man at the end of Age of Ultron.

Avengers: Infinity War comes out on April 27. Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, 2019.
