Captain Marvel: Skrull Easter Egg Found in Guardians of the Galaxy

Captain Marvel will be introducing us to Marvel's alien race, the Skrulls, but there's actually an Easter egg concerning them way back in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy. The reference actually appears right during Stan Lee's cameo.

Director James Gunn has been teasing fans about a yet to be found Easter egg in the movie, but as it turns out, even if no one had spotted this before, it still wasn't the Easter egg that he meant. From the appearance of the creatures from Slither to Cosmo the dog, it seems that this one Easter egg is something that is one heck of a puzzler.

With Avengers 4 marking the end of Phase 3, the only Marvel films slated to come out for Phase 4 ( at least, the titled ones) are Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel. Gunn is said to be planning to end the arc of the current Guardians in the third movie, and if a third were to happen, he said that he would focus on an entirely different roster of characters.

Captain Marvel and the Guardians of the Galaxy are set to make an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War this coming April 27.
