Captain America: Civil War Cast Responds to Fans Taking Sides with Personal Videos

The cast of Captain America: Civil War are pulling out all the stops to get the public on their side for the highly anticipated movie. A few of the members on Team Iron Man and Team Cap have taken to social media to get support from the public via video messages.

The tweets and responses came after the official Civil War Twitter account asked fans to choose sides by tweeting wit the hashtags “#TeamCap” or “#TeamIronMan.”

The time is now — let the world know who you stand with. You never know who’s listening… https://t.co/ZOvwuL2Obk

Replying to fan tweets from Team Iron Man are Paul Bettany (The Vision) and Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther).

Boseman reproaches one fan on Team Cap, saying: “Were you having a bad day or something? Do you want to come back and do this some other time when you’re in a better mood?”

Meanwhile, the cast from Team Cap who made personal videos on Twitter include Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) and Chris Evans (Captain America) himself.

Both Stan and Mackie thanked fans, while Rudd comically shut down one fan who is on Team Iron Man.

It looks like more people are on Team Cap. I wonder if public opinion will change once Spider-Man appears on Iron Man’s side.

Synopsis:

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team.
The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6.
