Captain America and Iron Man's Civil War Fallout Plays Into Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War won't just contain a massive battle between Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the galaxy's most deadly tyrant. It will also deal with the very personal fallout between Iron Man and Captain America, after the dramatic events of Civil War. Fans are curious about how these two heroes will interact and if Robert Downey Jr's interview is anything to go by, there will still be a lot of heat between them.

Speaking with Empire Magazine (via ComicBookMovie), Downey Jr. said Iron Man would probably want to bust Rogers' jaw if they ever saw each other. Considering how Steve protected the man who killed Stark's parents, it's easy to see why he would still be pissed. That being said, the MCU's first star has admitted that he's not sure how to feel about Evans possibly retiring the character.

"I don't know. I feel like my instinct would be to bust his jaw. All I know is that there's something about being on camera with Evans. I hate to say it, but I don't know what I'm gonna do when he's not Cap anymore. I look at him and think this is the truest, most down moral psychology I've ever seen and then they go, 'Cut!' and Chris is like, 'Hey buddy, I gotta get out of here.' I'm like, 'You wanna go to dinner?' 'Nope.' 'Okay! Love you! Love you, Cap! I mean, Chris!'"

This could add fuel to the speculation that Evans is leaving the MCU after Infinity War. If that's the case, it will be interesting to see if the two characters ever resolve their differences. We can all hope that they kiss and makeup but fans will have to wait and see.

Avengers: Infinity War comes out on April 27.
