C-3PO Actor Anthony Daniels Talks About Carrie Fisher's Performance In Star Wars The Last Jedi

Anthony Daniels has been playing protocol droid C-3PO for three Star Wars trilogies now, and that's not even counting his work on spinoffs like series and video games. During a panel in Fan Expo Canada (via Space.ca), Daniels took the time to talk about Carrie Fisher and her post-humus performance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Daniels explained:

"The magic of the movies is you will see her as you've never seen before. The other day when I was putting my voice back on [The Last Jedi], I had completely forgotten what we had shot. Suddenly in the footage that I'm watching, there she is, living forever. That's movies for you."

Daniels also took the time to talk about Fisher and her love for Coca-Cola, saying that she left her cans all over the set—resulting in some product placement in some key shots. He continues:

"You would be amazed how many shots which she's in have a can of Coke hidden somewhere, and the crew were desperate not to feature it!"

Fisher's death was something that hit a lot of Star Wars fans hard, and even though it's been more than six months since her passing, a lot of people are still mourning her loss. Let's all hope that Rian Johnson sends of Carrie Fisher with a bang when The Last Jedi comes out.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out Dec. 15.
