BvS Storyboard Artist Addresses Rumors That Zack Snyder’s Working On His Cut Of Justice League

There might have been rumors going around lately saying that Zack Snyder's been secretly working on his cut of Justice League without the help of Warner Brothers, but it seems like one of the director's closest collaborators has put the rumor to bed.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's storyboard artist Jay Oliva is one of the DC Extended Universe director's frequent collaborators, and lately she's been taking to social media to debunk rumors surrounding an alleged Snyder cut of Justice League.

"It's Clickbait. Anyone who says they have "reliable sources" usually have it wrong. Whenever I site my source it's pretty much from the person who I'm talking about. Whether it's Zack, Geoff Johns, Patty Jenkins, Ben Affleck Taika Waititi, Kevin Feige, etc. it's all firsthand," Oliva responded to a fan talking about the rumor.

There have been a lot of fans clamoring for Snyder's original cut of Justice League ever since the film flopped in cinemas last year. Poorly written and executed, Justice League became a hodgepodge after Warner Brothers decided to interfere and have Marvel director Joss Whedon take over the film's reshoots. Fans were upset by Whedon's trite humor in the final cut of Justice League, saying that the filmmaker didn't do any of the characters any justice – especially Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) who is constantly being objectified in the film.

Now everyone's imagining the complex superhero film Justice League could have been, and everyone's holding on to the hope that Snyder secretly has his cut stashed underneath his underwear drawer. Unfortunately, it seems like the cut really doesn't exist – though there's no wrong in hoping, really.

DC's next film, Aquaman, swims in to theatres on December 21.
