Buff Up And Take The Star Wars Kylo Ren Challenge

Getting fit might be a common New Year's resolution, but it looks like Star Wars fans are spicing things up by supporting the Kylo Ren Challenge.

Inspired by the scene in Star Wars: The Last Jedi where Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) surprises Rey (Daisy Ridley) and everyone else with a shirtless self and ripped abdomen, singer-songwriter John Mayer has decided to start what he calls the #kylorenchallenge.

Taking to Instagram, the musician has decided to share a photo of himself wearing extremely high-waisted pants like Kylo Ren's, captioning the photo with the #kylorenchallenge.

Though he doesn't really explain how to participate in the challenge or ask other people to join in on the fun, it seems like other netizens have started sharing their crazy Kylo-Ren photos on the social media platform.

It's a pretty fun scene, and shirtless Kylo Ren has become a popular meme on the internet. Though some might see the shirtless Kylo Ren as a fanservice moment, The Last Jedi sound supervisor Ren Klyce has previously explained that the scene served as a moment proving that Rey could also see Ren while being bonded by the Force (they were worried that fans might only take the force bond as a simple auditory experience).

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
