Blizzard Considering Cross-Console Play For Overwatch

It looks like Blizzard is considering cross-platform play between the two console versions of its first person shooter game, Overwatch.

When a fan asked Blizzard about the possibility, the official Overwatch acccount said: "There is no cross platform play. We'll keep an eye on cross-platform possibilities on the consoles."

However, it sounds like Blizzard is against the idea of enabling cross-platform play between console and the PC. In a follow-up reply, it said: "Mixing mouse/keyboard and controller can have balance and competitive issues."

It doesn't sound like Blizzard has any plans to add cross-network play anytime soon. For the past few months, we've heard a lot of discussions about cross-network play. Microsoft opened cross-network play between the PC and Playstation 4, and they're inviting other networks as well.
