Black Widow Movie Will Have Multiple Characters Use Natasha's Code Name

We have high hopes for Black Widow; a movie that fans have been wanting since Captain America: The WInter Soldier. Fans are getting what they want after years of waiting, with a new film set after the events of Civil War that will detail what Natasha Romanov did before the events of Avengers: Infinity War. It seems like fans are getting what they want and more, with actress Rachel Weisz confirming that multiple characters will be using the Black Widow codename.

During an interview with IGN, Weisz revealed that her character Melina is also a Black Widow. She also confirmed that actress Florence Pugh, who is playing Yelena Belova, will be a Black Widow. This isn't a huge surprise since the character has been a Black Widow for some time now, at least in the comic books.

"I'm a Black Widow. And Scarlett [Johansson] and Florence [Pugh.] And there's at least... quite a lot of characters that you meet in the film that are Black Widows."

Judging from the number of Black Widows that could be in this movie, it looks like we're in for an action-packed time. We've been promised a lot of intense spy action and here is hoping we get a lot of that from this flick. Actors have also teased the film having a surprising amount of drama and tragedy to it, which actually isn't too surprising if you dig deep into her backstory in the comics.

Black Widow is scheduled for a May 1, 2020 release.
