Black Panther’s Chadwick Boseman To Appear On Saturday Night Live

It looks like the King of Wakanda is headed for New York City because Chadwick Boseman is set to guest star on a new episode of Saturday Night Live.

It's been only a month after the overwhelming successful premiere of Black Panther but it looks like Boseman's ready to make a guest appearance on the April 7 episode of NBC's late night variety series. Boseman just made the announcement on his Twitter account yesterday, gearing up fans for his upcoming guest appearance.

Though Saturday Night Live has had quite a number of Marvel guest appearances before including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson, there's still a lot of excitement over Boseman's appearance on the variety show.

Black Panther has made such an impact on the comic book movie genre with its overwhelming critical and commercial success. Not only is the film Marvel's first standalone movie for T'Challa, but it's also the studio's very first all-black superhero movie highlighting the value of proper representation. Since its premiere the film has received a wave of positive reviews from both fans and critics who feel like the industry needs more films that encourage diversity and representation.

Black Panther is currently screening in cinemas.
