Black Panther Takes Center Stage In Entertainment Weekly San Diego Comic Con Double Issue

This year's San Diego Comic Con is coming up in a little over a week, and it looks like Entertainment Weekly's rolling out a double issue covering the convention.

On the cover is Chadwick Boseman's King of Wakanda, Lupita Nyong'o's Nakia and Michael B. Jordan's Erik Kilmonger. Entertainment Weekly's covering a number of films and television series and its cover story is focused on Marvel's Black Panther.

Speaking in an interview with the publication for its Black Panther cover story, co-writer and director Ryan Coogler talks about how the film tries to play around with the gray lines of morality.

"In this movie, a lot like politics, it's a little tricky to define who's [a good guy]. The film very much plays with those concepts, looking at conflicts and different motivations, and who's with who."

The publication also rolled a set of new photos to go along with the preview, and while most of the images shows off the different residents of Wakanda, others also show off a sequence shot in South Korea (the same one which has a major car chase following right after it.) Check out some of the image below:

It's great to see T'Challa outside of his Black Panther costume wearing royal Wakandan robes. Black Panter has really eye-catching costume designs, and all of the residents look stunning in their outfits. A few of the photos also show off some of the film's action – T'Challa takes a pretty strong stance as he prepares to fight Killmonger by in a stream. It'll definitely be exciting to see the fight go down on the big screen.

Black Panther premieres on February 16, 2018.
