Black Mirror Is Getting A Book Series

Charlie Brooker's critically acclaimed British science fiction television anthology series Black Mirror is getting its own book series.

According to a post on the Penguin Random House website, Black Mirror is getting a "high-tech ‘paper format'" book series with three novells from a variety of authors. Each volume which will be edited by Brooker himself will offer Black Mirror fans original content that explore the same themes as the popular science fiction series.

"All-new Black Mirror stories from exciting authors - that's a joyous prospect. And they're appearing in a high-tech new format known as a book," Brooker said in an interview on The Bookseller.

"Apparently, you just have to glance at some sort of ink code printed on paper and images and sounds magically appear in your head, enacting the story. Sounds far-fetched to me, but we'll see," the showrunner joked.

This is exciting news for book readers who have so far been enjoying Brooker's anthology series. Black Mirror's exploration of different social issues often makes viewers think, and the series often brings about deep catharsis. It'd definitely be interesting to see the series take on a different shape while fans wait for the arrival of Black Mirror season 4 next year.
