There's no denying that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is one of the most beloved personalities all over the world which is why it doesn't come as a surprise that a 2021 poll named him a top candidate to be the next President of the United States. Previously, the Hollywood star seemed keen on the idea of running for the 2024 elections, especially with a lot of people backing up his potential bid.

However, the Black Adam actor seemingly had a change of heart and is now ruling out running for politics in the next two years. Speaking with CBS News Sunday Morning's Tracey Smith, the 50-year-old star and multi-time WWE champion made it clear that a bid for President is "off the table".

Johnson explained that while he loves America and everyone in it, his number one priority will always be his family. He said: "I also love being a daddy. And that’s the most important thing to me is being a daddy. Number one, especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters’ lives."

He added: "I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years." Check out the interview below:

Mad props to The Rock for putting his family first before his political ambitions. Of course, you can never say never but it looks like his decision is already set in stone. And besides, there are people who are more qualified than him to run for a higher position in 2024 and I'm pretty sure he acknowledges that.

Meanwhile, DC's Black Adam is hitting cinemas on October 21.
