Billie Lourd Will Have Larger Role in Star Wars: Episode VIII

In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we saw Carrie Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, make an appearance. She wore her blonde hair up in two buns like her mother did in Star Wars (1977) as she played junior controller Kaydel Ko Connix. She didn't get much screentime as she only appeared in the command room of the Resistance's base on the planet D'Qar, and had only one line of dialogue that she spoke when asking General Leia: "General, are you seeing this?"

While promoting Scream Queens at Paleyfest on Saturday, Lourd revealed that she will be in Episode VIII: "I am working on Star Wars VIII but that's all I can say."

When asked if she'll have a bigger role:"Oh yeah, yeah," Lourd told Slash Film. "The last one was a little Where's Waldo-y."

And when asked if she would have more scenes with her mother, she said,"Maaaaaybe."

Star Wars: Episode VIII is currently filming, and it will be released in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017. Check out the new set photos from Episode VIII here.
