Billie Lourd Remembers Her Mother Carrie Fisher And The Northern Lights

Fans all over the world are mourning the anniversary of Carrie Fisher's tragic and untimely passing.

Taking to social media, the Star Wars legend's daughter Bille Lourd decided to share a touching tribute to her amazing mother.

Posting a photo of herself in front of the aurora borealis in Norway, Lourd talks about how she and Fisher had always wanted to see the Northern lights together.

Lourd just recently went up to the North to see the lights along with her father, Bryan Lourd and his husband Bruce Bozzi in order to honor her mother.

According to the actress, her mother had an "otherworldly obsession with the northern lights," remembering how her mother would describe the ethereal phenomenon as seeing "the heavens lift up her dark skirts and flash her dazzling privates across (our) unworthy irises."

Lourd also included a couple of emojis reminding fans of one of Fisher's most iconic quotes, one that she had always said she wanted written down in her obituary - "She drowned in the moonlight, strangled by her own bra."

It's a really touching tribute to Fisher, one that not only reminds fans of the Star Wars legend's humor but also shows a bit more of her personal life. Lourd has also appeared alongside her mother in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, another great tribute to Fisher's legacy in the Star Wars franchise.

Star Wars: The Last is currently screening in cinemas.
