Bille Lourd Remembers How She And Carrie Fisher Tried Sneaking Into A Force Awakens Screening

Carrie Fisher wasn't just a hero to Star Wars fans, she was also a spirited character filled with energy and wit.

Speaking in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Carrie's daughter, Billie Lourd went ahead and shared a story where she and her mother daringly tried to sneak into a screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in disguises.

There was a lot of anticipation building up over the very first installment in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy installment before its release, and it was hard for Carrie and her daughter to see the film in person without being recognized. Sure the two tried to sneak in to watch The Force Awakens by themselves, but their plan didn't work out as well as expected.

"No chance," Lourd joked during the interview with the publication. "She showed up with mismatched socks and hadn't brushed her hair, and even then, everyone was like, 'There's Carrie Fisher!'"

Messy hair and mismatched socks? It sounds just like the Star Wars legend alright. Carrie was always the quirky one.

It's terrible how Carrie passed away last year, and everyone continues to pay tribute and remember Star Wars spunky princess Leia. We wonder how exactly Episode IX is going to send the General off when it premieres in 2019.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
