Bethesda Gives Update on The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield

Bethesda may have disappointed fans with the release of Fallout 76 but everyone is still pretty pumped for The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield, the latter of which is a new single-player IP from the company. While both games had teasers last year, we haven't seen much of them since and it looks like that's going to be the case for a while since they won't be shown again until they're ready.

During a fairly lengthy interview with IGN, Bethesda boss Todd Howard said that it's okay to miss things once in a while and they want to have a Fallout 4-like release where the trailer is immediately followed with a nearby release window. That usually does work wonders since Capcom has done that with both Resident Evil 7 and the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Howard did give an update on both games, though only a slight one. Here is what he had to say:

"On one hand, I think it's good to miss things. I think that makes people come to it with really really fresh eyes. When you eventually, eventually see the game and what we have in mind [you'll] understand the gap more in terms of technology and what we want it to do."
Since we won't be seeing these games for a while, fans are gonna have to be patient. Knowing Bethesda, the two games will be of quality, though they will also come with a lot of bugs. That's the price you pay for freedom.

The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield won't be coming out anytime soon.
