Bethesda and id Software Delay Doom Eternal but Give Big Incentive to Pre-Order

Fans of Bethesda and id Software were pretty disappointed when it was announced that their highly-anticipated Doom Eternal would be delayed until next year. The fact that it was announced one month before its original release date makes this particular delay makes it hurt even more since this game had a lot of people excited, given how good Doom 2016 was. As if that wasn't bad enough, Doom Eternal Switch gets the biggest delay since it doesn't come out until after the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions.

On the bright side, if you pre-order any version of the game, you will be getting Doom 64 as a free bonus. Considering how people are hyped for Eternal, this is a pretty great bonus to have since it will give players something to play until the sequel comes out.

So, what is the new Doom Eternal release date? According to the post from id Software, we will be getting the Doom sequel on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 20, 2020. Doom Eternal Switch will be coming out sometime after those versions so fans of the handheld/console combo are going to wait for a long time.

At least Switch fans have Doom 2016, Doom, Doom II, and Doom 3 to enjoy? Not to mention Doom 64 next month.

Unfortunately, Doom Eternal will be coming out on March 20, 2020. At least it won't be a rushed, buggy mess like other Bethesda games.
