Benedict Cumberbatch Says He’s Thrilled To Share Avengers 4

Avengers: Infinity War ended with Thanos wiping out half of the universe, and with so many members of the Avengers gone, fans are dying to know whether or not Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans) and all the heroes left behind might be able to undo the Mad Titan's massacre in Avengers 4.

Though Benedict Cumberbatch can't really give away any details that might spoil the Infinity War follow-up, he does freely talk about how proud he is of the second and final chapter in Marvel's two-part Avengers movie.

Speaking in an interview with The Star, the Doctor Strange actor admitted that he was more than excited to share the experience of Avengers 4 with Marvel fans around the globe.

"I was thrilled. Thrilled, thrilled, thrilled and thrilled with the pitch for the second film. And thrilled by the ingenuity of the whole thing," Cumberbatch said. "And to be in an audience and experience that was something else. I've been part of Sherlock, with a very famous cliffhanger. It's a very brave thing for movies that are that big, bold and colorful."

Sure Marvel Studios' big wigs might have been trying to play coy about how the studio's going to handle all the deaths in Infinity War, fans are fairly certain that Avengers 4 is going to successfully undo the massacre Thanos laid out in Infinity War. After all, Marvel does have sequels lined up for a lot of its heroes, including Tom Holland's Spider-Man (whose Homecoming sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently filming in London).

The only question that remains is how the remaining members of the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy will be able to bring back everyone, and what price they'll have to pay to do it.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
