Ben Affleck Says Batman v Superman Isn’t Appropriate For His Son’s Age

Ben Affleck's son won't be seeing his dad's superhero movie, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice when it hits theaters this coming Friday, March 25.

The 43-year-old actor mentioned before that one of the reasons he took on the role of the Caped Crusader was for his three kids, including his 4-year-old son, Samuel. Unfortunately, Samuel has to wait 9 more years before he can watch his dad put on and use the Batsuit.

Well, obviously Ben's kid is way too young to watch Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But the actor is showing no signs of giving up on letting his son watch the film, albeit a 4-year-old friendly version. Affleck told the Associated Press:

Four years old is a little young to see this whole movie. I don't want him to have nightmares...I'll have to con one of the editors into giving me a truncated version of the movie without some of the scarier stuff.

In all fairness, Affleck reportedly tried dressing up as the Dark Knight during Samuel's birthday party and even fake fought a FedEx delivery guy to make it look like he was fighting The Joker. Hopefully, the actor will get a hold of that "kid-friendly cut" that he's hoping for. If not, thankfully, he did say the film's two-minute TV spots are basically Samuel's "whole attention span anyway."

Meanwhile, his 10-year-old daughter, Violet, can reportedly see the PG-13 movie. She could tell her brother all the details of the film.
