Beloved Sonic Mania Artist Drops Not-So Subtle Hint About Working on Sonic the Hedgehog Movie

After the disastrous first trailer of Paramount's Sonic the Hedgehog movie, fans were quite relieved when it was announced that the character's design would be changed. Animators also applauded the move to delay the film from its November 2019 release to February 14, 2020, so now you can watch this with your boyfriend/girlfriend.

There are still a number of fans who are worried about Sonic's revamp but it looks like they don't have to be since a very big fan of the franchise could be working on that.

Sonic Mania artist and director of the Sonic Mania Adventures series Tyson Hesse might be working on Sonic's revamp. When director Jeff Fowler revealed that the film would be delayed, he posted some artwork that looked comparable to Hesse's illustrations, with a classic Sonic logo added for good measure.

When Hesse was asked about his involvement with the Sonic movie, he simply posted this:

That's the moment when Tony Stark told the world that he was Iron Man back in, well, Iron Man. This could be Hesse quietly confirming his involvement with the movie, which would make a lot of fans very happy. After all, his work on Sonic Mania Adventures was glorious and his numerous comic book covers for the character's IDW series have been a treasure.

Sonic the Hedgehog will be showing in theaters on February 14, 2020. Sonic Mania Adventures is free to watch on YouTube, while the game this series is based on can be purchased on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
