Batman Won’t Say Goodbye to Ben Affleck Just Yet

The solo Batman movie featuring Ben Affleck has been one of the most controversial films to date. Even though production hasn't even started and with the script still far from being finalized, there has been a lot of uproar, mostly due to the clashing claims of where the movie is at and who exactly will still be involved.

Recently, there has been reports of Affleck allegedly leaving the film not just as the director, but also as the face of Batman as well. The latter would have been a major change in tone, if only because it will launch a lot of worrywarts into speculations as to the direction of the movie.

Now, a new yet unnamed source has told HollywoodLife that Affleck has no plans to leave the franchise. In fact, he is supposedly "excited and ready to roll." Granted, the original source of the statement had already given a disclaimer that the rumor may be inaccurate.

It is worth noting that Affleck has given a few inconsistent statements himself, which also caused some misunderstanding about the current state of the standalone Batman film.

This new report pretty much puts the movie back on track, especially with a shorter list of directors signaling potential progress for the movie. And let's not forget, Joe Manganiello recently announced that he has started training with the katana and a few offensive martial arts for his role as Deathstroke in the movie.

Perhaps things are still going on the right track over at Warner Bros for the Batman movie. We're just crossing our fingers that the studio is doing right by it, so that the reported good traction that Wonder Woman is enjoying with the early views will continue DC's upward streak.
