Batman: The Killing Joke Theatrical Tickets Are On Sale

Batman: The Killing Joke is set to premiere in select theatres for a one night event on July 25, 2016 and tickets for the movie are now available for pre-order at Fathom Events.

The movie will be showing at 7:30 P.M. and 10:30 P.M. local time and will have a runtime of 1 hour and 35 minutes. The movie will be preceeded by a short documentary where Mark Hamill discusses how he was cast for the the Joker, with never-before-seen voice casting footage. After the movie, there will also be a behind-the scenes look at how the movie went about recreating the Joker's unforgettable dance scene from The Killing Joke comic. The movie will get a DVD release the following day. The DVD is available for pre-order on Amazon.

The Killing Joke comic written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Brian Bolland was first released in 1988 to much critical acclaim. Many fans consider it to be the best Batman and Joker story out there. It also had a huge impact on the DC Universe, as it changed the character Barbara Gordon's role in the comics for quite a long time.

The movie will have Kevin Conroy voicing Batman and Mark Hamill voicing the Joker. In addition, Barbara Gordon will be played by Tara Strong and Jim Gordon will be played by Ray Wise.

I think it's exciting that a DC Animated production will be showing in theatres, even for a short time. Are you planning to see Batman: The Killing Joke in theatres? Do you think the movie will do the comic justice?
