An Australian man named Dayton has made the perfect recreation of one of Gotham City’s iconic location, the Arkham Asylum. The builder used a whopping 18,000 LEGO pieces to make the masterpiece. The Arkham Asylum is a famous incarceration facility in the Batman universe. It was also recently memorialized in the video games.

Just looking at how many pieces he used to create the LEGO Arkham Asylum gives an idea that creating the set isn’t a walk in the park. As it turns out, it took the Aussie almost 2 years developing plans for the project. Fortunately, it didn’t take as long to actually build it. He said the construction took him three months to complete.

As per Fire Wire, Dayton shared his building process.

After 1-2 years of planning and 3-4 months of building I have finally created Arkham Asylum in Lego. I feel this was the milestone for me as a builder as this is something I have wanted to build for years now and I am so happy with how it turned out.

He also detailed the different parts of the LEGO asylum.

Almost everything I wanted to put into the moc was built and included. Some of my favorite parts of the Moc are, Killer Croc’s Cell, the Maximum Security Wing (Underground Cells). The whole interior turned out pretty good and I really like what happened the whole roof and clock part of the building.

Apparently, this isn’t the first Batman Moc Dayton has crafted.

I’ve been building Batman mocs for 3 years now and I think this is my Best Batman Moc so far. It is also the biggest build I have ever made, with 18,000 pieces and standing at 52×98 studs wide and 55 bricks tall. This was built for Brickvention 2016, that took place last week in Melbourne, Australia.

Although the builder didn’t exactly create the LEGO moc for pure personal satisfaction, it’s still amazing AF.
