Warner Bros. might be fast tracking the development of the DC Extended Universe's Birds of Prey, however it seems like Batgirl and Harley Quinn are the only constants in the comic book movie's two competing scripts.

Variety's Justin Kroll just recently took to Twitter to share a few updates on the status of Birds of Prey, and according to the reporter, Warner Bros. currently has two versions of the script with it. Though we're not quite sure whether both scripts were written by Batgirl screenwriter Hodson, both scripts are centered around a female ensemble.

Right now however, Kroll reports that both scripts have Batgirl and Harley Quinn as its only constant characters in Birds of Prey. The film is also taking Suicide Squad 2's production schedule, being put forward as Warner Bros. looks at the success of Patty Jenkin's Wonder Woman.

Cathy Yen has been tasked to direct Birds of Prey. With the film being scheduled for production at the end of this year, Warner Bros. still has time to select and polish a script.

There's very little information about Birds of Prey outside of the updates provided by Kroll, however a lot of things could change along with updates of the script provided for the film. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Birds of Prey doesn't have a release date, but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
