Awesome New Look at Sonic the Hedgehog Redesign Unveiled

It's no secret that the Sonic the Hedgehog movie has been delayed as the titular character had to undergo a major redesign. However, it looks like it will be worth the wait. A new photo reveals a closer look at the new Sonic that will appear in the 2020 film.

The image was shared on Twitter and it offers a better look at how extensive the redesign has been on Sonic the Hedgehog. Check it out below.

We've already seen a different theater standee that showed the speedy game character. However, the new standee shows Sonic running towards the viewer as Jim Carrey's Dr. Robotnik lurks behind him.

The redesign was welcomed by fans after the negative reaction to Sonic's new look in the film's trailer. Although the entire process meant that the movie would have to be delayed, some believe that it will be worth it after seeing images of the standees. Hopefully, a new trailer will soon be revealed so we can get to see the new Sonic.

The description for the film reads as follows:

"SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination. The film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic."

Sonic the Hedgehog is set to come out Feb. 14, 2020.
