By the end of Black Panther, the hidden nation of Wakanda will reveal itself to the world, and moving forward, the MCU will probably have a drastic change when a new country is now at the height of technological advancement. Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland try to speculate on how their "genius" characters will react when it comes to the scientific marvels of Wakanda.
"Well, a technologically advanced country is probably something that [Tony Stark] wishes would benefit humanity without creating more infighting… I think that's what he would hope for America. That's what he would hope for the world. I think to him, he would view it as a potentially utopian model."
It's funny considering that people who analyze the MCU in-depth agree that Tony Stark is the type to hoard his advanced tech for himself. Besides the Iron Man suit, how come the rest of the world doesn't utilize his fancy hologram tech phones or even arc reactor technology.
Peter Parker' reaction would probably be more honest. Tom Holland speculates:
"I think Peter would love it. There's some great moments in the comics where Peter ends up there. And Letitia and I have become really good friends over the last year and a bit. It would be brilliant to have our characters meet up, it would be so funny. She's brilliant in the movie, she's actually my favorite part of Black Panther."
From the trailers we know that a huge chunk of the movie is going to take place in Wakanda, but so far, we haven't seen any trace of Iron Man or Spider-Man in the country. Most likely the group will be separated, with Captain America and the others fighting in Wakanda, and Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and the Guardians battling Thanos. Of course, I could be wrong, but maybe a second trailer will give us more hints.
Avengers: Infinity War comes out April 27.
