New York Comic Con 2015 is happening right now, and one of the coolest part of this annual media convention is the after hours party/bar scene. Rich Johnston of Bleeding Cool was reporting that he was having a bar conversation with one of Hollywood's insiders that were discussing the budget for Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2.

According to the insiders, the combined production cost for both films is 1 Billion U.S. dollars! That's more than the cost of producing the first two Avengers films!

Johnston went on to say that the budget for the screenwriter, director, producers and principal actors will be four hundred million dollars, with Robert Downy Jr. getting a huge chunk, about half of the budget for actors. With an all-star cast and huge production sets and visual effects, it's no surprise that the cost would be up there, but this amount is insane! Note that the most highly-anticipated film in ages, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, cost $200 Million, about a fifth of that total budget!

Avengers in 2012 made $1,519,557,910 worldwide and Avengers: Age of Ultron brought in $1,402,791,599 this summer. If you are not good at math that is a grand total of $2,922,349,509.

Anthony and Joe Russo will be directing the 2-part films. Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 will be released on May 4, 2018, and Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 will open on May 3, 2019.
