Avengers: Infinity War Director Says They’ll Be Using The Reality Gem

With Josh Brolin's Mad Titan Thanos hunting down the six Infinity Stones in Avengers: Infinity War, it's no surprise to hear director Joe Russo confirming the inclusion of the the Reality Gem, the Infinity Stone which was first introduced in Thor: Dark World as Melkith's Aether.

Allowing the user to alter reality, the Reality Gem is one of the more exciting stones in the set, and in an interview with Screen Rant during the San Diego Comic Con last weekend, Joe was asked how the Reality Gem might be used in Infinity War. This was his response:

"Each gem has its own special power. We had to put a lot of thought into how we would represent those powers so it was clear to the audience. Not only are you dealing with a lot of characters, you are also dealing with the stones, the gems, and there's a lot of them. So for people to keep track of all of it, we had to get really specific. I won't divulge how we use the Reality Stone, but we do use it."

Though Joe wouldn't give out all of the details, it's exciting to wonder who exactly Joe and his brother would present the power of the Reality Gem in the upcoming Infinity War – after all, it is tricky to feature the stone's capability of manipulating reality and controlling dark forces. Let's see how well Thanos puts it to use when Infinity War releases.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres May 4, 2019 while its untitled Avengers 4 sequel hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
