Marvel is all done with its line-up for this year and now fans are all looking forward to what the studio has in store for the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year. The studio's got a lot of exciting superhero movies ready for release and it seems like two of its upcoming films are the most highly anticipated movies of 2018.
USA Today just recently spoke with Fandango's managing editor, Erik Davis, and as part of their interview the publication released the results of Fandango's poll for the Most Anticipated Movies of 2018. On the very top of the Fandango's list are none other than Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther.
There's a lot of excitement building up over Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4. Not only have fans been waiting for the Infinity War movie arc for years, but Marvel Studios has also been marketing the two-part movie as one of the biggest film events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Fans are also getting hyped for Black Panther, Marvel's first all-black superhero movie.
"People have been waiting for the entire Marvel Universe to appear onscreen for a long time. Fans love these combinations of heroes; seeing Guardians of the Galaxy characters interacting with Thor for the first time is going to be really interesting."
"Like Wonder Woman in 2017, Black Panther is going to be a film that will enhance a conversation that's already happening. Audiences are demanding more diverse casts and stories."
The third film in Fandango's poll is Legendary's Jurassic World sequel, Fallen Kingdom. Though the first Jurassic World was more or less a commercial success, it comes as a bit of surprise that there's a lot of excitement building up over Fallen Kingdom, given that the trailer nearly gave everything there was to know about the film.
Black Panther releases February 16, 2018. Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters May 4, 2018. It's sequel, Avengers 4, makes its big debut May 3, 2019.
