Avengers: Endgame Star Gwyneth Paltrow Announces Semi-Retirement From Acting

It looks like Gwyneth Paltrow may be thinking of taking a step back from her time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Pepper Potts.

Speaking in an interview with Digital Spy, the Academy Award-winning Shakespeare in Love actress opened up about her plans for her future in the Hollywood industry. Paltrow plans to step away from her career on the big screen to pursue another venture. The actress is putting her focus on a company called Goop, a brand that offers personal wellness products. Apparently, the company has been taking a lot of the actress' time – so much so that Paltrow has decided to "semi-retire" from her acting career.

"I'm sort of semi-retired from acting a bit because I have a company [Goop] that I do," Paltrow told the entertainment news outlet, "I'm Gooped from head-to-toe but [Falchuk was] very charming."

That includes retiring from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Paltrow's last film in Marvel was Endgame. The actress suited up in Rescue armor for the very first time in a Marvel movie, giving fans their very first look at Pepper Potts in an Iron Man suit. Unfortunately, it seems like the film may be the very last we'll get to see Pepper Potts in Rescue Armor.

"I mean, I'm a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point," Paltrow joked.

It's been a while since Paltrow's been in the MCU. The actress debuted as Pepper Potts in Iron Man back in 2008. That's been almost a decade of Marvel for Paltrow. Guess it's time for Paltrow to move on to other ventures.

Avengers: Endgame is available on Blu-Ray and Digital HD.
