At Least 9 More Marvel TV Shows Are Being Developed

Marvel TV head, Jeph Loeb, has confirmed that there are a handful more Marvel TV shows set to arrive in the next couple of years.

Marvel currently has five TV shows in the works. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Agent Carter, and Luke Cage. Now, it appears more will be added to the list, and it's likely that it's never going to stop.

At the Daredevil Season Two premiere, Loeb told ComicBook.com that "it never stops."

The film writer added:

We have, in one way or the other, there's nine or ten shows that are going.
They're going on in my brain. The idea is, much like when I was doing television and writing comics at the same time, it's about telling stories, and making sure we are telling the best stories that we can.

While that definitely sounds like a handful for one man, rest assured Loeb isn't alone in the upcoming projects.

I'm not there alone, I've got people like Joe Quesada, Dan Buckley, and Alan Fine at Marvel, incredible showrunners, incredible writers, Jim Chory, who's my head of production and can make all of these things happen.
It's having a team around you to be able to do exactly what you're saying, which is not just live here, but live ten months in the future and know what we're doing not just now but a year from now.

Even if Loeb is with the best team in the world, creating 10 shows in a row still sounds like a big ordeal. However, counting out all the officially announced Marvel shows as well as rumored projects, it does sound doable.

Marvel currently has Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. up for a fourth season renewal; Daredevil with an upcoming season 2;Jessica Jones season 2 is also in development; and Iron Fist, Marvel's Most Wanted, and The Defenders are all officially announced.

Then there's a rumored Punisher spin-off as well as a John Ridley mystery project.

That's nine.

As for the tenth project, that remains a mystery, but it could be any one of the aforementioned series if ratings are high, which usually are.

In any case, I believe every Marvel TV project has proven itself a worthy series to follow. I doubt anybody will contest to the overflowing Marvel series. Just like what Joe Russo, Boseman, and Robert Downey Jr. think of more superhero films, I don't think there will be any superhero fatigue in Marvel TV.

Daredevil returns to Netflix on March 18.
